This is the latest project I have worked on with the good people at Mighty Nice.
As always, I ended up doing a range of things to get the job across the line, but my primary role was as a lighter. They're a Maya / VRay / Nuke studio.
I really enjoy using 3D for stylised purposes, and it's been a number of years since I've integrated 3D and stop-motion animation. It's such a beautiful mixture of the charm of traditional craftsmanship with the fidelity of 3D, and I think we've gotten a beautiful result. My gratitude and love goes out to everyone that shared the process with me, and I hope that you find it pretty too.
