3d artist - Harsh Agrawal

I recently came across the work of Harsh Agrawal.

He's actually a visual effects artist, at the time of writing he works at ILM in Singapore, but it's his paintings that really impress me. I first came across him on Pixar's Renderman website, where he hosted a technical demonstration for shader development and lighting in Renderman for Maya.

It's always great to see lighting artists with classical fine arts training, and Agrawal is a perfect example of precocious talent across multiple mediums. His watercolours are all incredibly evocative, but in particular the paintings of his homeland have a particular soul imbued in them that can't be missed. It's just brilliant, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
