A change of direction

I recently accepted a position as a senior lecturer / cg supervisor at the Animal Logic Academy in Sydney. It's a masters program run by UTS, in partnership with (what is now) Netflix Animation Studios.
This marks a turning point in my career that I've been angling at for 5 years now - a move to education.
I started teaching night classes in philosophy as a passion project during the pandemic in 2020, and I really enjoyed it, and still do. So the idea came to mind at that time that it might be great to move into a teaching space in my career.
The Animal Logic Academy existed at the time, and they seemed to be getting the best results of any institution for graduates in Australia - so this was definitely the place where I wanted to teach. It took over 5 years to land the role, including the time necessary to get my post-graduate certification in tertiary education, but it was well worth it in the end.
I'm really looking forward to this new direction in my career, cultivating the next generation of talent to help propel them into their own fulfilling careers.
