A wise man once said that every 3d artist needs a dragon in their reel. Or at least one day a wise man will.
I've been working on this dragon model for about 6 months now, for another personal project. That project is going to be a short animated sequence integrated into live action footage. The brief initially being to work on some skills I haven't developed a whole lot - specifically creature animation and effects. That project is much larger in scope, and a while off yet, but I thought it would be fun to take a break from that and do something with the work in progress in the form of a still.
It was put together in Max, VRay, and Photoshop. I'm looking forward to developing him further. For now though, I hope you like this one.
